What is it?
At BIMachine we use the BIMGateway service for data extraction, providing a direct and secure link between the BI platform and your infrastructure. With it the data is extracted locally, compressed, encrypted and sent to the BIMachine platform, eliminating the need for any external access release to your database or the need to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network).
To use it, you install on a server or machine in your network an application that will connect to your local databases or files, and by authenticating your user, BIMachine can communicate with the BIMGateway to read the data.
With the application installed on your network, you work on data integration on the BIMachine platform as if you were on the local network, with BIMGateway reading the data and sending it to BIMachine. All this with the assurance that your data is protected, because everything is encrypted and secure.
