Filters – Using Fixed Filters

In this topic we will show you about fixed filters in the Dashboard. This functionality aims to prevent that a user with a VIEWER profile can change the applied filter. This is only possible for those who have an ADMINISTRATOR or EXPERT profile and have permission to edit the Dashboard.
Important: Be careful when using a fixed filter and setting it as a mandatory filter for the VIEWER user and not having a filter applied on the Dashboard nor the user itself, because the user will not be able to see the objects’ information.
In a Dashboard click on
On this screen with the filters already marked, on the right side you will have fixed filters, mark the ones you want and click "Save".
Now let’s apply some filters, in case you haven’t already and need to. If you have a user filter, there is no need to apply it.
Note: Remember that the purpose of the fixed filter is to prevent a VIEWER user or a user who does not have permission to edit the object from applying a filter on the one you have defined as fixed, that is, he will only be able to view what has been defined for him.
Now the VIEWER user will see as highlighted below the filter(s) you have set. You cannot click to change or apply them. As seen below, the filter set as fixed appears as "read only" with the lighter color.
