BIMachine Labs is an environment for new features that are still in beta. Here you can enable, test and give your feedback on features that have not yet been released to all users, free of charge.
How to access Labs
On the platform, look for your profile picture at the top right of the menu.
Click on the “BIMachine Labs” option.
Experience
Once you have opened BIM Labs, in the experimence tab you can enable as many features as you like, as long as they are available to your user. If you are a Viewer user, for example, you may not be able to activate the features. If this happens, ask an Administrator user to activate or change your user type.
Give your feedback
By giving your feedback, you help to improve features and create a better workspace for everyone. On each feature you activate, look for the “Give feedback” button
Fill in the necessary information and send feedback, a ticket will be opened and all follow-up will be done via support. See how to track the progress of the ticket by clicking here.
Feature voting
Participate actively by supporting the improvements proposed by our users by voting for or against a feature, so you can prioritize what is most important in your day-to-day life. Voting takes place quarterly according to the following rules:
✅ The two most voted are approved for development;
💡 The two least voted for come out of the vote and remain in a box of ideas;
⏭️ The others go forward to a new round of voting, which will take place in the next quarter;
🆕 New features are added to the poll according to suggestions and requests from our customers;
What’s comming
In this tab you will find features that have already been approved. These are going through the development phase and will be released in the next versions.
Suggestions
Share your ideas by suggesting new features. In the Suggestions tab you can suggest a new feature. You need to name the suggestion, select the type and describe it. You can also include images, videos and attachments. New suggestions are evaluated by the product team and can be classified as follows:
- Approved: your suggestion has been accepted and will be developed;
- Voting: we think your suggestion is interesting and would like to hear from the user community. It will go through a voting cycle along with other features;
- Ideas box: we understand that your suggestion is limited in scope and/or has an existing alternative solution, so it will remain in an ideas box and can be re-evaluated according to our users’ demands.
